Russel started as a strength & performance coach for a high-profile performance facility back in the Philippines pre-pandemic, providing trainings for individual and team-sport athletes ranging from youth, high school, collegiate, semi-pro, & professional level. He even worked as a strength and conditioning affiliate for the Philippine National Ice Hockey Team during the 2019 South East Asian (SEA) Games. Off the field, he dedicated most of his time back then dabbling in the world of sports data and research as well, from wearables used for health monitoring and velocity-based trainings (VBT), to pain management & exercise as a form of therapy in a clinical-based environment.
Post-pandemic, Russel has shifted more into community engagement, corporate wellness, and general population health and wellness promotion roles.
