1. What should I wear to my massage appointment?
Most clients choose to fully or partially undress depending on their comfort and the type of massage. Draping is always professional and respectful. For sports massage or mobility work, athletic shorts or loose-fitting clothing may be recommended to allow for full range of motion. Your therapist will discuss options with you before the session to align with your goals.
2. Do I need to bring anything with me?
We provide everything you need. Still, we recommend bringing a water bottle or a light, nourishing snack—especially if your session is paired with a workout or long day. While some of our locations have access to gym facilities, massage is offered as a standalone service and does not require gym use.
3. Can I still get a massage if I’m injured or in pain?
Yes. Many clients come to us specifically for injury recovery, muscle tightness, or postural imbalances. Our therapists will adjust techniques based on your unique condition. Just let your therapist know about any injuries, surgeries, or limitations so we can safely support your healing process.
4. What should I do after my massage session?
Hydrate well and allow your body time to recalibrate. You may feel relaxed, energized, or mildly sore depending on the pressure and techniques used. Light stretching, walking, or rest can help your body integrate the work. If you’re training at Live Fit Gym, let your trainer know how your body responded—they can adjust your programming to support recovery.
5. Is massage therapy included in my fitness or wellness membership?
Massage therapy is offered as a standalone or add-on service. Some of our membership tiers include massage at a discounted rate—please check with the front desk to explore Live Fit Massage packages or upgrade options for integrated care.
6. What if I experience an emotional release during my massage?
It’s not uncommon for emotions to surface during bodywork. As described by Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, author of The Body Keeps the Score, the body can store emotional memories in muscle tissue and the nervous system. When muscles are released, so too can stored feelings.
